2. Installation and Setup

2-1 Hardware Installation

The RPM1521 is intended to be install in a temperature controlled environment that is free of

conductive contaminants. Select a location, which will provide good air circulation for the

RPM1521 at all times. Avoid locations near heating devices, water or excessive humidity, or

where the RPM1521 is exposed to direct sunlight. Route power cords so they cannot be

walked on or damaged.

CONNECTING THE RPM1521 TO AN AC SOURCE

CAUTION - To reduce the risk of fire, connect only to a circuit provided with 20 amperes

maximum branch circuit over-current protection in accordance with the National Electric Code,

ANSI/NFPA 70. Plug the RPM1521 into a two pole, three wire, grounded receptacle only. Do

not use extension cords, adapter plugs, or surge strips. Do not plug the RPM1521 to the

output of a Simulated Sine Wave UPS.

1. Connect the power cord to the power inlet on the RPM and to the utility service.

2. Plug the equipment into the output receptacles.

3. Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port.

4. Turn the power switch to the ON position.
